PAYOUTS

Quick 16 Payout - winner $3000, R/U $600, Semis $100 each

 Quick 8 Payout - winner $1500, R/U $400, Semis $100 each. 

If only 4 to 7 qualifiers - winner $800, R/U $200

If only 3 qualifiers - winner $300

Trophy payout only if 2 or fewer qualifiers.

*Qualifiers must be capable of running 12.99 and faster

 

CLASS SUMMARY
Heads-up Pro-tree (.400) Q16 class for F/R/AWD 4/5/6 cylinder or rotary import  brand/sport compact door cars only (no motorcycles, LSX Rx7s, etc  allowed). Sport Compact vehicles include any FWD or AWD 4 cylinder  (example: Cavalier, Neon, Cobalt, etc). *Domestic badged Import vehicles  permitted, ex. Eagle Talon, Dodge Stealth, etc. Import 8/10/12 cyl  entries limited to DOT approved tires. Any class with 2 or fewer entries  is awarded a trophy only. Slicks and open exhaust allowed. *Updated  10/4/13.
 

BODY
Import or domestic compact car bodies allowed. *Updated 9/28/15
 

INTERIOR
Doors must open and close from inside and outside the vehicle. No center drive configurations. No other interior restrictions.
 

CHASSIS AND SUSPENSION
Full tube chassis OK for naturally aspirated only. No center-drive  systems. Wheelie bars are prohibited for boosted applications, but OK  for n/a and n20 only applications.
 

ENGINE
4, 5, or 6 cylinder, 2 or 3 rotor Import brand engines allowed. Domestic  compact bodies limited to 4 cylinder. Outside manufacturer engine swaps  allowed. 8/10/12 cyl Import engines allowed, but limited to DOT approved  tires. *Updated 4/28/16
 

POWER ADDERS
Turbochargers (limit 76.9mm single/58.9 twins 6 cyl or rotary auto - 84.9 single 4 cyl - 88.9 single/62.9 twins 6 cyl or rotary H pattern manual or sedan  - 82.9 single cast 6 cyl auto). Superchargers, and Nitrous Oxide systems permitted in any combination. Turbo measured at inducer.  Electric motors allowed. *Updated 11/10/21
 

DRIVETRAIN AND TRANSMISSION
FWD, AWD, or RWD allowed. Any type of transmission allowed. *Updated 12/14/14
 

EXHAUST
Any type of exhaust system permitted.
 

TIRES
Any DOT approved tires allowed. Slicks limited to 26.0 for FWD and 28.0  for RWD/AWD or any naturally aspirated application. 8/10/12 cyl limited  to DOT approved tires. *Updated 1/17/14.
 

*OIL CONTAINMENT RULING STARTING IN 2017
Highly modified, non-factory setup vehicles (determined at IFO staff's  discretion) 11.49 and faster required to have oil containment device  (pan or diaper). Racers lacking oil containment device when required may  still race at IFO staff's discretion with $100 track clean up deposit.  Deposit returned to racer at end of event pending no oil down. Catch pan  should cover entire area below engine/transmission with 2 inch high  lips on all sides. Lips should to be covered or curved inward. If a  competitor spills excessive oil onto the track, he or she may be  disqualified from racing at the discretion of IFO/track staff.
 

***If someone in your class is not within the rules, immediately ask for  IFO staff to protest. Once your vehicle is staged, you accept all  conditions of the race.
 

***Contestants may be disqualified from an event or banned from the  series at the discretion of IFO staff for any one of the following  reasons including, but not limited to 1) breaking rules 2) excessive oil  downs 3) playing excessively loud music with explicit lyrics 4) bad  sportsmanship 5) illegitimate protests against opponents who are not  breaking rules 6) verbal abuse of event staff 7) disrespect/personal  attacks towards the IFO series, track host, and/or fellow contestants.
